Sound absorbers

An excess of noise is very annoying in a working or living ambience. Makronyl produces sound absorbers that can absorb both the annoying whizzing (flowing noise) and noises from other sound sources. The sound absorbers can be mounted in an air piping system, but also on the press- or suction side of the ventilator. Based on our experience, we can practically always offer a suitable solution to reduce the noise to an acceptable level. If necessary, we also measure the noise on site.

Standard absorbers

The standard round, smooth absorbers (MD-type) are usually sufficient, if necessary provided with a supplementary absorbing core or with a shorter mounting length. Makronyl produces absorbers of PVC, PP, PE, PPs and PVDF. Standard pipe sizes are 110 to 800 mm, in standard lengths of 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 mm. Intermediate sizes can also be supplied.

Baffle silencers

Baffle silencers are the ideal solution when a very high absorption value is required. One or more plates of absorbing materials, wrapped in synthetic material, absorb the noise by means of the small passages for the air stream in an efficient way. These absorbers have a low flow resistance and their form is always rectangular.

Bent baffle silencers

Bent baffle silencers are mainly used when there is no room for a rectangular absorber or when the customer does not want to change the existing lay-out.
