MAKRONYL started in 1962 as one of the first industrial producers of equipment made of synthetic materials. Our company developed in almost half a century into a partner of many clients for the design and manufacture of technical equipment and pipe lines of synthetic materials. We use thermoplastic materials, mainly PP, HDPE, PVC and PVDF.
History of Makronyl
Makronyl was founded in 1962 by Dolf Granpré Molière. At the time, synthetic material was still in its infancy. Granpré saw the possibilities of plastic and founded a company for the production of equipment. The name of the company “Makronyl” was derived from “makro” (of the macro molecules in synthetic material) and “nyl” (of nylon, the name of the first polymer). After 6 months he hired his first technician. In 1968 Makronyl started with the design and production of chemicals-resisting ventilators. The innovated version of these ventilators is still the basis of the actual series of standard models. Shortly after that, Makronyl started with sound absorbers and exhaust systems for laboratories. Since then, the product range grew steadily.
1974: A special scrubber for the removal of chromic acid. The working principle of this scrubber is still actual today. 1976: Special double-walled filters for activated carbon (together with Norit, an activated carbon supplier). Still in use, sometimes in combination with a ventilator. 1980: Bucket filter systems for pump systems in sewage works. 1985: Automatic barrel washing station. 1988: Spot exhaust arms for laboratories.
1993: Re-engineering and enlargement of window and wall ventilators. 1995: Standardization of calculations of tanks and containers, including the relative production stages. 1997: Calculation program for ventilators. 1998: Extension of the range of ventilators with larger models. 1999: Own double-walled piping system. From 2000: Industrial exhaust arms for the chemical industry From 2001: Exhaust cabins for laboratories. From 2002: Pressure regulating systems for ventilators. From 2003: Standardization of dosing cases. From 2004: ATEX-Certification of standard range of ventilators. From 2005: Vapour-proof manual control valves for air ducting. From 2005: Low-flow exhaust cabins with a window construction.
It goes without saying that we cannot list all custom-made products that we made on request of our customers.
