Exhaust systems (plastic ventilators)

Makronyl designs, supplies and installs complete exhaust systems for aggressive/corrosive vapours in acid cabins and in the galvanic and (petro)chemical industry. We produce ventilators, sound absorbers, exhaust arms and exhaust cabins for this. Makronyl will be happy to advise you.

Ventilators

Since more than 40 years Makronyl produces ventilators according to their own concept. The client can choose from our standard ventilator program, but we can also adapt these ventilators to the particular wishes of the client, or design them according to customers’ specifications. The high static head, a low noise level and a high yield are always guaranteed, thanks to the well matching construction of housing and fan and the 11 backwards bent concave vanes of our fans. The connection diameter in the standard range goes from 125 to 800 mm, with a capacity of 50 m3/h to approx. 25.000 m3/h  (RMV125 – RMVMAX800). Ventilators of synthetic materials are extremely suitable for application in aggressive atmospheric circumstances in chemical factories or in salty sea-air.

The housing at the suction side can easily be opened for maintenance of the (removable) fan or the motor. In standard execution, every ventilator is provided with a drain to remove condensate.

All parts of the ventilator are resistant against aggressive vapours. Also the fans are of synthetic material. In standard version, the housing is made of HDPE and the fan of PP. In function of the application, other options are possible. The motors can be supplied in various types and a frequency control is possible. All ventilators are CE-certified. Makronyl also supplies and installs ATEX-certified ventilators.

Optionals:

• Dynamic shaft seal by a counter vane in order to avoid leakage in case of load on the press side. An alternative for this is the application of an underpressure room with by-pass to bring the vapour that leaves the shaft directly to the suction side.
• Extension of the press side to 3 m above the installation level, without the need of an external support.
• Pressure/frequency control that adjusts the rotation speed of the motor as a function of the set pressure. In this way it is possible to create an exhaust system with a variable capacity, with ample capacity limits. This avoids the creation of unnecessary pressure in the piping systems and may make supplementary ventilators superfluous.
• Ceiling mounting of ventilators with a modified ventilator housing by means of a room-saving suspension system.
• Inspection hatch (radially on the fan). The possibility to inspect the fan without the need to dismantle the suction side can be desirable, in particular for larger ventilators. Through the inspection hatch, the fan can be easily inspected and cleaned.
• Stainless steel fans for processes with high pressures and/or high or extremely low temperatures.
• Custom-made ventilators, to replace old ventilators without the need to make costly adjustments to the piping system.
• A capacity which is not included in the standard program. Makronyl has a calculation program that concentrates on the working point desired by the customer. In most of the cases, an adjustment of the fan and/or the width of the housing brings the working point within reach, without an extra V-belt transmission or a frequency control.
