Exhaust arms

To extract the air at particular spots, Makronyl constructs, supplies and installs flexible plastic exhaust arms to be mounted on walls or on the ceiling. The exhaust arms have a great freedom of movement thanks to the several hinge points and can be supplied in many executions.

MakroMax exhaust arms for the (chemical) industry

These exhaust arms are resistant against very aggressive vapours. The material of which they are made, is PP or HDPE. Hinges consist of a flexible tube. All fixing devices are made of stainless steel. The aggressive vapours to be exhausted do not come into contact with the hinge points and the drive mechanism, which guarantees a long duration of the exhaust arms. Dimensions: Diameter 125 mm with a working reach up to 2500 mm.

Construction optionals

• Telescope: After the second hinge point, the arm is equipped with an extending tube, provided with an exhaust cone. In this way the reach of the exhaust arm is large, while, when not extended, the arm takes up little room.
• Special exhaust mouth-pieces: In standard execution, the exhaust arms are provided with a conical mouth piece, but in specific situations different mouth pieces can be preferable, such as:
  • flat mouth pieces (for the extraction of man holes and filling openings)
  • transparant mouth pieces (ideal for visual control of the work)
  • custom-made mouth pieces, that exactly fit an exhaust point.

MakroClean exhaust arms

These are easily cleaned exhaust arms, without a flexible tube at the hinge points. They are always custom-made. They can be supplied with a diameter between 125 and 250 mm and with a reach up to 3500 mm. A gas spring construction compensates for weight.

Antistatic exhaust arms

Exhaust arms of antistatic plastic can also be supplied. These are recommended in particular for the extraction of vapours containing solid particles. The static load is evacuated by the conductive materials and the connection to earth of the exhaust arms. Conventional materials: PPs-el and PE-el.

Alsident exhaust arms for laboratory; small spot extraction

For spot extraction in laboratories, Makronyl can also supply exhaust arms of the brand “Alsident”. These exhaust arms distinguish themselves by the many executions and sizes and can be mounted both on the wall and on the ceiling. The design of the Alsident exhaust arms fits perfectly in a modern laboratory. Makronyl will be happy to supply and mount these as well as the connecting pipe work.
